Tami Larson Tami is the owner and artistic director of Spotlight Dance & Tumbling. She has been a studio owner for 36 years. She trained in ballet for 12 years (5 at the U of U). She danced in Ballet West' s Nutcracker for 4 years. She was a cheerleader in High School and was on the U of U Dance Team in College. She has choreographed many bowl games and professional sports events. Tami has been the director and choreographer for dozens of State and National Championship Teams and soloists. Here are a few of her former student accomplishments: numerous Utah Jazz Dancers, Phoenix Sun Dancer, LA Laker Girl, San Francisco 49er cheerleader, two Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders, dancer in Janet Jackson video and Dr. Pepper commercials, 2008 Las Vegas contestant for "So You Think You Can Dance"-Lindsey Judkins, 2007 winner of "So You Think You Can Dance"-Sabra Johnson (Tami taught Sabra dance at Roy High). Lindsey Judkins Lindsey has 18 years training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop & tumbling. She has won numerous State and National Dance titles throughout her life. She was named top 3 at NUDC Dance Camp. She was a three year member of the Bonneville Lakettes. She placed in the Top Five at Miss Drill Team USA in California. She was a member of Spotlight Competition Teams for 14 years. She has been a dancer for the Utah Jazz for the last four years. Lindsey is now the Drill Team advisor for the Bonneville High School Lakettes. Lindsey auditioned and was put straight through to the final round in Vegas for 2008 television show "So You Think You Can Dance". Lindsey is a fantastic role model for all dancers. Linsdey is happily married and has a beautiful baby girl. She keeps up on all the latest moves and styles and loves to share her talents with the students at Spotlight!

Emily Hawkes Bokinskie Emily trained at "The Winner School" for 11 years in jazz, ballet, pointe, tap, hip hop, modern, lyrical and tumbling. She was a member of the Brighton High Drill Team for three years where she served as Co-Captain and Drill Mistress. Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in dance from Weber State University, graduating as the Outstanding Academic Graduate of her department. During her time at Weber, Emily was able to participate in the Moving Company outreach program, Orchesis Dance Theater, and the World Dance and Music Project outreach program. Her choreography was chosen to be performed and adjudicated at the American College Dance Festival in 2008 and 2009. She has received several awards from Weber State such as Outstanding Performer, Lindquist Departmental scholarship, Patti O'Neal Scholarship, and Repertory Dance Theater Scholarship. Emily performed at the Metals Plaza for the 2002 Winter Olympics. Emily auditioned and went to the final round in Vegas for 2008 television show "So You Think You Can Dance". Emily was hired as a dancer for a Bollywood film by Artistry Films titled "Maro Charitra" She has also participated and performed with Repertory Dance Theater and Ririe Woodbury Dance Company. Emily is currently a member of the semi-professional modern company the Movement Coaltion. She has also been hired to teach a college dance course at Weber State University for 2010. This is Emily's third year teaching at Spotlight where she absolutely loves sharing her love for dance with the talented students at Spotlight!

Rodolfo Rafael Rod started as a hip-hop street dancer when he was about 8 years old. He was a choreographer and cheerleader for North Davis Jr. High School. He graduated from Clearfield High School where he was president of the Dance Company. Dancing with the CHS Dance Company introduced him to modern and many other styles for the first time. He is currently a student at Weber State University. He is a member of Orchesis Dance Theater. He is also part of the WSU outreach program "The Moving Company". He just finished working with a non-profit Dance Company "Movement Coalition" where he worked as both a dancer and a choreographer.

Mykklyn Stanzione Mykklyn is 20 years old and has graduated from Bonneville High School as a cheerleader and student body vice president. She has been dancing for 17 years. She has traveled throughout the states training in Contemporary, Horton, Duhman, African, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Ballroom, etc... She lived in New York, attended Alvin Ailey the American Dance Theatre on scholarship for their independent study program. Mykklyn accepted a Dance Scholarship from Weber State University, working on a double major in business and Health and a Minor in Dance. Mykklyn has worked on set for Disney, F.A.C.E. performance (NYC) and Hush tours (NYC). She loves teaching all styles to all ages.

Chelsea Nielson Chelsea has been dancing for 16 years. She started her training in ballet and soon added jazz and hip hop! She started her modern dance training as a sophomore. At Viewmont High School she performed in every dance concert and was a member of the Seniors only Modern Company. Chelsea also traveled to New York City where she took master classes from Alvin Ailey, Paul Taylor, Martha Graham & Broadway Dance Center. After Graduating from Viewmont, she began her Dance Education Major at Weber State University where she was a scholarship student and performed with Orchesis Dance Theater. She continues her dance education at conventions, workshops and master classes as often as possible!!! Chelsea loves sharing her love of dance through teaching, working with her students at Spotlight! |

Gev Manoukian Gev Manoukian was born and raised in Kazakhstan. In his senior year of school, Gev formed the first break-dancing group in his hometown. Together, they learned their moves by watching videos and through trial and error. In 2003 Gev moved to Salt Lake City, UT. He soon found a local break-dancing/hip-hop group and joined the ranks, picking up where he left off in his hometown. The group, "Extreme Dance Studio", introduced him to the world of hip-hop. With his natural ability to pick up new dance movements, and his zeal to dance, the new genera took flight; brining him to a new level in dancing. As he continued developing his dancing abilities, he soon discovered a new transition in his dancing…the combination of break-dance, hip-hop, and classical movements all rolled into one. Gev engages audiences with his self-taught moves and passion. In 2004 Gev auditioned for the Hollywood block buster, High School Musical 2, and was chosen as a featured dancer. Two years later, he was cast as a principal dancer in movie, "The American Mall". In 2008 Gev's dancing talents took him to the nationwide auditions of the Fox reality, hit, TV show, "So You Think You Can Dance". Gev's unique, versatile, and powerful dancing abilities, won the judges and America over, as he danced his way to the top 10 dancers. Gev is a guest teacher at Spotlight!

Kellee Peoples Kellee is the office manager at Spotlight. She has been working at Spotlight for eight years. She has an awesome personality and does a great job taking care of the staff, the students and the parents. She really enjoys her job and interacting with the clients. Kellee is also a nail technician and works out of her home in Layton. She is married and has three beautiful children. |
